Flower Hill Farm B&B is unique in its beauty, simplicity, friendly hosts and earth friendly philosophy and practices. Our home is a 1790 restored Cape surrounded by organic rambling gardens, marvelous sky and landscapes situated on a twenty acre hillside in Williamsburg, Massachusetts just 15 minutes from Northampton.
Flower Hill Farm has lovely rambling English like gardens. The large Rock Maples offer shady spots to sit outdoors either on the upstairs balcony or in the gardens. Walking through the gardens guests discover many varieties of flowering shrubs and perennials blooming at different times of the growing season.
There are lower gardens that one can escape to for solitude or enjoy floating with your favorite book between Linden and Balsam Fir in our hammock. Walks through our small forest may give the lucky guest a glimpse at some of our many visiting birds or animals.
Northampton, home to Smith College and the Paradise City Arts Festival, is only 15 minutes away, with Lenox and Tanglewood an easy 45 minute drive. The surrounding hilltowns are filled with great bookstores, excellent restaurants and both famous and unknown writers and artists who have seasonal open studios and sales. Writers' workshops such as Patchwork Farm, yoga, dance and other creative ventures abound in the valley and hilltowns. Snow Farm (formerly Horizons) and the New England Craft Program are five minutes from Flower Hill Farm.
Our organic breakfast is Continental with fresh baked muffins, which may be jazzed up with our own blueberries, fruit salad, juice, tea and fresh ground coffee. All of our ingredients are certified organic including our coffee and tea. We serve breakfast between 8:30 and 9am. in our dining room which also has a fireplace and double French doors leading out to the gardens. Let us know if you want a private breakfast. |
