The Manor House is situated in the quintessential New England village of Norfolk, Connecticut. The popularity of this town as a resort area began in the 1870's when prominent businessmen built huge houses forming the backbone of a summer colony. They were attracted by the rural beauty, lush woods, cool mountain air and summer concerts.
The distinct charms of Connecticut's Litchfield County, the Berkshires of Massachusetts and New York's Columbia and Dutchess Counties, are easily accessible from Norfolk CT. Travelers can enjoy music festivals, summer theater, antique and craft shops, vineyards, historic homes, museums, splendid perennial gardens, carriage and sleigh rides. For the sports enthusiast there is hiking, biking, water sports, tennis and golf, riding stables, alpine and cross-country skiing. At the end of your busy day we can even arrange for an appointment with a massage therapist.
The Manor House is the perfect spot to relax. Sit in the living room beside the baronial fireplace, retreat to the sun porch to read a book chosen from our library, or take a stroll around the grounds to enjoy the perennial gardens. In the bar area off of the living room, there is an ice machine, a refrigerator, a microwave, complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and other seasonal beverages. A TV and tourist information are also found there. Our extensive CD collection, which includes many CDs produced by our friend, Grammy award winner Michael Fine, is available for your enjoyment. We also have an assortment of games and puzzles for your use on the sun porch.

Reservations and Policies - A credit card is required to guarantee your reservation. A deposit will be billed to your card or if you prefer, you may mail a check which must be received within 5 days. A confirmation of your accommodations will be sent to you. Cancellations received ten days prior to arrival date entitle you to a refund. Ten days or less prior to your arrival, a refund is not guaranteed. After that date, the full amount of your reservation may be forfeited. |
